Lake Tahoe
On june 27th, I went with Dominik and a bunch of his Stanford friends to Lake
Tahoe, to hike Mt Tallac (9735 ft). We made it to the top, I only got a little lost on the
way down. It was a good pratice for Mount Witney (next week). Interactive

Mount Whitney
On july 4th 1999, we hiked up Mount Whitney. This is the tallest mountain in the lower-48
states. It 14,495 ft (4417 m) high. Last year we also went, but only Daniel and I made it
to the top. This year, the whole gang (13 people) made it to the top, or within 10 minutes
of the summit. |

After hiking for 7:30 hrs, we summited, we left 2:30am. |
Howdy was the first one to get there, hiking the first 7 hours like mad,
until the altitude caught up. |
Point Reyes
Sunday June 5th 1999, we went for the Waterfall hike in Point Reyes. The interesting thing
about this hike, is that you can only do it at very low tide. Even at very low tide, you
are up to your waste in water at times. It tooks us weeks to find an approriate day to do
it. We made it through, but as you can see in the pictures below, it was good we waited
for low tide. |

Aspen, Co.
In May 1999, I had to go to Aspen,
Colorado for a conference. I stayed over the weekend and explored the area with Robin. |
