A few weekends ago I went snow camping with the Sierra Club. This was the second weekend we went. The first weekend Howdy and I dug a real snow cave and slept in it. This weekend we dug a hybrid snow trench/cave. It is great to sleep in a snow structure when it is nasty outside.
